Earthquake Update

January 23, 2010

The Consulate General of the Republic of Haiti wants to express its utmost gratitude for the overwhelming response that we have received regarding the disaster in Haiti. Our primary focus at this stage is to provide disaster relief to the survivors and continue our search for those who may still be alive. The Consulate is working along with community leaders, clergy members, community organizations and non-governmental organizations (NGO's) to spearhead a drive to collect basic supplies for those in dire need.

The volume of calls we receive is such that we cannot answer to all calls and many times you will find that the lines are busy. If you can contact the embassy by email, kind volunteers will help us manage the various communications we receive.
